i had a couple of hours on the bank tonight and noticed the swims in the rose gardens have been completely stripped of plant life above and below the water.there is absolutely no cover left on the bank. :?
.tried no1 ,the chinese bridge and the gardens..claimed a couple of nice roach and a chubbly on maggot. waters nice and coloured and pushing through nicely..lets hope it stays that way till the weekend. :D :D

Nice to meet you terry, how did you get on yesterday?
I fished the rose gardens and it was pushing a lot harder than i thought, had half a tree, a big red coca-cola fridge and a very swollen rat pass me  along with the usual car tyres, once the river dropped a couple of inches i started to get a couple of knocks but only managed a small common about 1lb..
(the river looked great as i was leaving  )

Caught my first wandle barbel Thursday night after a lot of trips into darkness resulted in some nice chub up to around 4 lbs.
It was two new wandle species for me, as I had an eel before the barbel. Let's hope it's the first of many now I'm off the mark :D (Not the eel)

Fished yesterday from 11am to 6pm had one bite... no fish.
Had carp bubbling around my bait all day and see chub swimming all over it aswell, probably the most frustrating days fishing i have ever had.

Hi all, dusted off the match gear and gave the rose gardens a bash on the pole with bread punch and must of had 15lb of roach with the odd chub and gudgeon. great fun and a change from watching the tip for hours...
Most roach to around 9/10oz with one or two touching 1lb.

Andy.
