Alright guys hows it going? my names Nick and I've been fishing the Wandle since i was a Kid mainly from Carshalton down to Merton Abby Mills.
i've been away for a few years studying for my degree in Fish Science and i can remember hearing about ideas for an angling club in Morden Hall so i was a little shocked to find out there is now a well established Club in the park after going for a long walk down the river the other day with my Mrs and seeing a few beautiful fish in the park which cheered me up no end after seeing firsthand the aftermath of the bleach incident in September 07.
walking down near the rose gardens i was pointing out a few chub and said i wished i could fish it looked up and saw the MHAC sign got home looked you guys up and hear i am when i get the chance to I'll be dropping mine and the Mrs Membership forms round at the secretary's place after that i can't wait to get down there and have a fish.
let me tell you abit more about myself to say i'm an obsessive angler would be an understatement i fish for all species that swim and in all disciplines of Angling Course Sea and Game i change my species depending upon what time of the year it is whether it's chasing Pike in Winter or Chub Barbel and various Shark Species in the Autumn theres always something fishy on my mind because i don't have a one fish mind i'm just as happy catching a 5oz roach to a 30lb carp but this doesn't mean that a particular fish won't torture my dreams especially if it's a fish that I've managed to hook (we've all got those demons) at the moment there are two doing this one is a chub in the river Thames near Richmond and the Other is a Wrasse that lives among the rocks around the isles of Scilly
saying all that i do have a soft spot for Perch and Tench which are probably my two favorite freshwater fish of all time
well i look forward to getting out down the river and hoping to temp a fish or two and i look forward to meeting a few of you in the flesh
Tight Lines Nick
