Following Andy's Board message about out-of-season and probably unlicensed fishing by 'EU cousins'; here's the relevant advice from the EA site:

How to report illegal fishing
Spotted something that doesn’t look right? Help us to stop those damaging our sport. If you see any fishing, netting or trapping you think is illegal, please don’t tackle it yourself. Call us on 0800 807060 and tell us. 1) Exactly where the alleged offence is; 2) What’s happening; 3) How many people are involved and a description of them; 4) The registration numbers of any vehicles; And please leave a contact number so we can call you back.

A big up to Andy and his mate for having the cajunes to move them on; but not all of us are up to that.

It all depends on who you're with and the look (and size) of the culprits I suppose...

Nice one Andy; at least they know they're doing wrong so don't have the ignorance excuse, but I bet most if not all of them know the rules anyway.

I think down by the Savacentre there are signs mentioning the close season (in English though) perhaps we need some signs in Polish etc. like some other rivers I've heard about.

The EA do seem to have local officers as they responded pretty quickly to the Diesel incident the other week, so I'd say always ring the number and report it; if they don't come this time, the more reports they get they'll soon see the extent of the problem...
