 Post subject: Rod/reel or pole?

ok just starting out again and not sure what to go for, rod and reel or just pole. My kids just use whip rods and I have a couple of poles but thinking about a rod/reel. Not into anything serious just a leisurely fish at the mo. whats best for Morden Park :?:

Any ideas

Hi again. Most people appear to use quiver rods on the Wandle, as the flow is fast and fairly shallow in many places, so float fishing can be hard. There are slower deeper places around, but quiver tipping seems to cover all. If that's your chosen avenue get one with a variety of tips.
