There was a committe meeting this week, watermeads did come up. There may well be fishing there next season!!! Im sure there will be more revealed at general meeting 22nd sept?? personally im not into lakes but i might give it a bash if we can arrange a few matches(used to do a bit of that) but im sure it would be a great addittion to our heavily fished waters!!

How you doing tel, had a look at it a few weeks back and could not see a single speck of water, the weed has completely taken over and anything that could be burnt has been, including the platform that was next to the bridge.
Is a lovely little lake and would be good to fish it and see what if anything is still in there, needs a lot of work though??
Had some nice carp from there (years ago) lol......... ;) :D ;)

Water meads was man made and run by Tom Sayer!! I spoke to him about 2 years ago he told me that most of the carp and big roach were put in our lovely river and some in his mates lake. Water meads was the curse of my carp fishing days, as i stalked a 14lb 6oz common for 25min before it took a bit of dryed corn this carp was really dark bronze and put up a great fight . But thats another story, He did say that it is quite possible that Water mead will open in 2011 but i hope it will not cost £36.00 again but as we all know nothing goes down only up!!!! I must say that i spent many a great days fishing there as you had your own key to get in, i hope this note as been some help to you all, so tight lines and good luck for 2011.
